Unwanted or unnecessary relations can make sketches harder to control and sometimes require redundant constraints to be deleted by hand. In our latest 2-Minute Tech Tip on Disabling Automatic Sketch Relations, you’ll learn two simple methods to prevent automatic relations from being added while sketching – temporarily by holding the Control key or permanently through the available System Options. These two techniques have different effects depending on your preferred workflow, but both offer greater control over your sketches and allow you to add only the relations you need.
Disabling the Automatic Relations option prevents any constraints from being added during sketching.
Customize your sketching workflow to your liking and reduce time spent removing unnecessary constraints with these two strategies.
