SOLIDWORKS drawing views often feature several dimensions and annotations in each drawing view, and it can become overwhelming to manually arrange each of them one by one while controlling for alignment and spacing. Our 2-Minute Tech Tip on using the Auto Arrange Dimensions tool shows how multiple annotations can be selected and automatically arranged in just a single click, saving a significant amount of time and effort:

  • Align dimensions in a collinear fashion
  • Stagger dimensions for improved readability
  • Adjust the relative spacing between multiple selected dimensions
  • Exporting manufacturing-ready pipe drawings directly from a SOLIDWORKS route assembly.
