The Georgia State Department of Education (GADoE) requires CTE Career Cluster instructors to measure the success of their program by having students take a Technical Skills Assessment. Instead of creating an assessment from scratch or using one from the state department, many instructors opt to prepare their students to sit for an industry credential exam. With this type of assessment, everyone wins: Schools meet state requirements, instructors have a clear path to success for their students, and students earn a resume-boosting certification before they even graduate high school.
The GADoE has outlined the following Engineering and Architectural design credentials students can earn as part of a Technical Skills Assessment.
