The Perkins Grant provides secondary and postsecondary schools with funding to support career and technical education programs — including engineering curriculum. Many schools use Perkins funding to pay for their SolidProfessor Membership. Learn more about Perkins funding in California.
Three times each school year, CalRTA sponsors teacher grants to support classroom activities. There is a 30-second entry form, and funding is provided with no strings attached.
The Foundation believes in creating educational opportunities that help prepare and inspire students to excel. By leveraging their resources and strategic initiatives, they can maximize the collective impact of educational initiatives focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
The program was established as a state education, economic, and workforce development initiative to provide pupils in K-12 with the knowledge and skills necessary to transition to employment and postsecondary education.
The State Board and Employment Development Department (EDD) will fund projects and partnerships to create and prototype innovative strategies that bridge education and workforce gaps for targeted populations, and initial implementation of promising models and practices in workforce system service delivery infrastructure.
The Foundation puts specific focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and STEAM (which includes the arts) curricula, as well as workforce development programs that lead to productive career paths for young adults.
Engineering students are expected to know more now than ever. SolidProfessor helps connect the dots between theory and software to set students up for success in the workforce. Online training courses are provided at an extremely discounted price for classrooms, schools, and school districts.
