Architectural Design Pathway: Curricula, Careers, and Credentials

The Architectural Design Pathway is an introductory CTE course teaching the nature of space, form, geometry, and more in architectural design. Students must develop designs using both traditional sketching methods and CAD software.

Perkins funding and other California grant opportunities

Carl D. Perkins Grant

The Perkins Grant provides secondary and postsecondary schools with funding to support career and technical education programs — including engineering curriculum. Many schools use Perkins funding to pay for their SolidProfessor Membership. Learn more about Perkins funding in California.

California Retired Teachers Association Grants (CalRTA) 

Three times each school year, CalRTA sponsors teacher grants to support classroom activities. There is a 30-second entry form, and funding is provided with no strings attached.

The Eastman Foundation Grants 

The Foundation believes in creating educational opportunities that help prepare and inspire students to excel. By leveraging their resources and strategic initiatives, they can maximize the collective impact of educational initiatives focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).

Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG)

The program was established as a state education, economic, and workforce development initiative to provide pupils in K-12 with the knowledge and skills necessary to transition to employment and postsecondary education.

Workforce Accelerator Fund

The State Board and Employment Development Department (EDD) will fund projects and partnerships to create and prototype innovative strategies that bridge education and workforce gaps for targeted populations, and initial implementation of promising models and practices in workforce system service delivery infrastructure.

Corning Incorporated Foundation 

The Foundation puts specific focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and STEAM (which includes the arts) curricula, as well as workforce development programs that lead to productive career paths for young adults.
