From improved rendering workflows and UI customization to powerful new tools in simulation, electrical routing, and even automatic drawing generation, this year’s top enhancements have the potential to seriously improve your efficiency. Some highlights include:

  • Seamless in-SOLIDWORKS rendering with Visualize
  • Smarter configuration management with the new Split Configurations tool
  • Settings to avoid rebuilds due to cosmetic changes in assemblies
  • Automatic drawing generation
  • Improved corner treatments in Structure Systems
  • And a lot more!

This release also solidifies a growing shift in how enhancements are delivered for SOLIDWORKS – Rather than waiting for major version updates, Dassault Systèmes is now rolling out new features year-round through Service Packs (SPs) and Functional Deliveries (FDs). If you’re coming from an early version of SOLIDWORKS 2025 (or even earlier version years) you may have missed out on several tools introduced throughout the year in 2025, which you’ll now have access to in SOLIDWORKS 2026.

We’re detailing all the most powerful enhancements in 2026 and those you may have missed in 2025 in our What’s New in SOLIDWORKS 2026 series, which will continue to grow throughout the rest of the year to cover a wide range of topics beyond the Top 10. Whether you’re focused on parts, assemblies, drawings, simulation, or something else, there’s plenty to check out now, with more on the way!

Check out the full Top 10 Enhancements video now, and stay tuned as we continue rolling out detailed videos across each major SOLIDWORKS subject area.
