San Diego, Calif. – SolidProfessor has announced that serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and business executive Peter Shaw has joined their advisory board, contributing expertise in corporate development and strategy.
SolidProfessor is a global company that provides next-generation learning for teams, schools, and individuals to keep up with rapidly evolving engineering tools and technologies.
Peter Shaw has been the founder or first professional CEO of six companies and has led five of them to successful exits. He has served at the direction of venture capital investors/boards as interim and turnaround CEO for four other companies and has sat on over 15 private and public boards as an outside director. He has also served as a partner for a US-based Institutional Venture Capital Fund and is currently active with multiple international funds. He selectively advises and invests in high quality early and intermediate stage entrepreneurial companies in a wide variety of industries.
Mr. Shaw is also a director on San Diego State University’s College of Business Advisory Board and is a previous chairman of the Lavin Entrepreneurial Center’s Board. He is a clinical professor of business administration and also serves in the position of Executive in Residence at SDSU. He is a past president of San Diego Venture Group and continues as a Board Member. Mr. Shaw holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from City College of New York and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut.
