SolidProfessor Partners with SkillsUSA as Sponsor for 2016 Technical Drafting Competition

SolidProfessor is a proud partner of SkillsUSA, a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled work force.

SkillsUSA offers leadership, citizenship, and character development programs as well as activities to complement skill training available in high schools and technical colleges. It helps students to better prepare themselves for the labor market. SkillsUSA emphasizes respect for the dignity of work, high standards in trade ethics, workmanship, scholarship, and safety. It promotes understanding of the free enterprise system and encourages development of patriotism through the practice of democracy in the chapter. Professional development, leadership, and total quality management practices are emphasized.

SolidProfessor sponsored this year’s SkillsUSA’s Technical Drafting Competition in Idaho. This competition recognizes outstanding students for excellence and professionalism in the field of technical drafting. Focusing on finding solutions for industry-developed problems, students will apply appropriate technical drafting skills and tools including computer-aided drafting.

SolidProfessor has donated Premium Memberships to the winners of this year’s competition. We look forward to seeing how these talented students continue to learn, grow, and develop.
