Brag About Your Students!

We want to hear about the awesome things you and your students are working on, like the design above that was created by students at Chaminade High School and the students below from Penn State Harrisburg and Pryor Middle School who use SolidProfessor to prepare for competitions and earn their Certified SOLIDWORKS Associates certification, respectively.

Penn State Harrisburg’s Formula SAE team in Harrisburg, PA

Students at Pryor Middle School in Okaloosa, FL

Share your story and pictures with us so we can help you brag about their hard work (P.S. we have SP swag available too!).

Manufacturing Returns to the US

As technologies like automation and robotics continue to advance, manufacturers are reshoring their overseas operations. Investments in technology can yield significant cost savings – a single machine can increase productivity by as much as 70% yet only cost as much as a single employee’s annual salary. These improvements in technology and adoption of CAM software like Mastercam offset the labor costs that led many companies to go abroad in the first place. The future of manufacturing is quickly becoming one of domestic innovation where students with CAM experience will be highly sought after to fill the skills gap as baby boomers retire.
