The certification exam covers a wide variety of topics, or Objective Domains, ranging from sketching and parts to assemblies and drawings. Here are a few specifics:

  • The exam contains 30 questions that can include anything from multiple choice and matching questions to hands-on modeling exercises.
  • You must complete the Autodesk Inventor User Certification exam in 50 minutes.
  • You must score 70% or higher on the exam to pass.
  • Certiport, Autodesk’s official certification partner, recommends at least 50 hours of training and hands-on practice in the software before taking the exam.
  • There are no limits on the number of exam attempts in one year. But once you’re certified, you’re certified! You don’t need to take the exam again.
