The SolidProfessor Education team attended the NC Career and Technical Education (CTE) 2015 Summer Conference this week to present at the conference as well as network with North Carolina CTE Directors! Matt May and Josh Perrell represented the SolidProfessor team, attending the conference in Greensboro, NC. On Wednesday, July 15. Josh hosted Session #394 from 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM at the conference. He discussed the resources available to support CAD and Drafting curricula, the opportunities to help students prepare for industry certification in Autodesk and SOLIDWORKS, and the latest capabilities of the software. In addition to helping students, SolidProfessor also helps CAD instructors increase their proficiency with software.
Josh was honored to contribute SolidProfessor’s unique perspective on eLearning during the CAD/Drafting curriculum cohort meeting. “It was great to meet so many drafting instructors and CTE directors in person and put faces with names. Having grown up in North Carolina, I’m particularly excited to help improve CTE programs in the state and guide students into successful careers in engineering, architecture and manufacturing. I also enjoyed being back in my home state and eating hushpuppies!”
His session was met with tremendous response, demonstrating the pivotal need for Next Generation Learning Resources for teachers and students.
The mission of NC secondary Career and Technical Education is to empower all students to be successful citizens, workers and leaders in a global economy. SolidProfessor is proud to support the state of North Carolina in it’s mission to prepare students to compete in tomorrow’s global workforce.
